6.5 sub

What all do you have audio wise in it now ? I always like something decent in a work truck because your usually spending a lot of road time in one ..
Nothing now. Planning for a 10 per door with a tweet getting about 300w per door. I have a 10" AA sub, (2) sundown sd10's laying around but i'm very interested in trying smaller subs for this setup. I prefer to ride in the work truck than my daily car honestly. simple, paid for, rugged, ect...

I put two Kicker Resolution 8s in the doors of my 84 S10 ..it’s an extended cab and I’ve about decided on 4 DD 8s in it for substage ..each pair on separate amp

My son has a single cab 2000 GMC Sonoma and I'm curious what could fit behind the seats too?
Two 6.5 subs truck style box subs side by side drivers side ..run box across back remove jack parts on back wall ..load port 8” off passenger corner ..make sure box is built to specs ..disconnect rear speakers

Don't see anybody using CT Sounds subs....kinda makes you wonder why.

Seen Massive Audio 6.5" subs being used as well as Sundown ones.

Which seats does he have? I've seen everything from sealed 10's, 12s to a 15. Ported 6.5s, 8s, 10 and a 12. Depends on the seats and how much room you're willing to sacrifice.

Sealed? How does it sound? loads well in a single cab?
Got a pair of SD10's that I wouldnt mind using sealed. I'm a ported guy...
It sounds good to me ..I’m 6ft 230lbs and sit comfortably in it ..the amp is a 3ch JBL 500@2 on the sub ch ..those are older Polk Momo 10s they were the last series ..not as well made as the first and 2nd but do have a good sound

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
