8" sub for sealed enclosure

Wanting to buy an 8" sub for a sealed enclosure; I only have 0.7cu.ft. to work with unfortunately. May be interested in a pair as I can do a box behind each seat that size, but probably just one as I am trying to keep weight down.

Would prefer something that hits the lows well even sealed, so a low fs is essential. Was planning for SQL, but decided I'd go lightweight, and keep full seat movement for my passenger so it'll be hard.

Shipping will be to New Zealand, and budget is flexible, not yet sure if it's even worth importing so lets see what comes up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Bump? Anyone got a pair of 8s for cheap that would do well sealed?
If your baffle is just a little over 8", you won't have room to mount the sub. I think a normal 12 spoke 8" has an outter diameter of 8.5"+ if I remember correctly. Matter of fact, all of the 8" subs I know of have an outter diameter of atleast 8.5".

****, probably should have looked that up

Yeah... I only mentioned it because I had trouble fitting 4 8s on my baffle because of this. Had to angle the subs to get them all to fit. If you have a hair over 8.5 you could possibly make it work..

**** it I'm going to run the 1500 watt SPLaudio 12" sealed in 0.7cu.ft. for a while. Passenger will lose a fair bit of foot room but it'll give me some bass for a while until I sort something else out.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
