AQhdc318 + AQ2200 in my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee

No. That is a bad box design, I don't care if Jesus designed it. The port wall extends too far back into the enclosure and your port area changes at the inside of the enclosure. The port will not be as effective as it could be and you could easily get port noise from it.
I think you would be better off going with a different design. I could crank something out for you if you would like.
anyone else agree???

btw yea ill definitely apprecaite if you can hook me up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

oh and the noise i was talking about b4...its only on certain notes...

and its gotta be at full tilt-so hopefully its not a big deal

like i hear the strange noise when i play KICKA DOOR/PUT ON at full tilt after a minute.

so i just dont play that song at full tilt for a long time.

16" long port in a 17" deep box? not gonna work, bend it 6" from the back like said above. if you keep the port 16" long, then you only need the port wall 10" long, the bend will make up the other 6" difference. Im tired, so correct me if im wrong, i only took a quick look at that pic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/highhorse.gif.6bbb570c3f53dc0dcce8a2b8ad05cf11.gif

Your problem sounds like it might be the suspension popping problem that many HDCs seem to have and that AQ blames on an improper break in. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Where are all these HDC's with noise problems that you speak of? I built boxes for around 12 of them this year and NO ONE has any noise issues. Of course we all broke them in properly to avoid damaging the spiders //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I would take that somewhere and have someone look at it, it should be flexing a lot more than that. Your rear view mirror is barely moving. My temp setup with two walmart pioneer 12's off 400 watts flexes more than that does.

I've seen quite a few threads describing the same sound.

And GrandCherokee... clear out your PMs.

what does flex have to do with anything. How are u gonna base a systems loudness off of flex. Some vechiles are built better than others, so they arent gonna flex as much. GTFO u noob@!

u basically said that his sytem isnt loud cuz it doesnt flex enough. so i said why would u base a system off flex. U dont flex is bad, so the less flex the better the sound stays in and louder on the mic.

like i said GTFO noob
