Actually AP's new stuff like the 3500.1 is "basically" (not the same but similar) board as the RD 3250.1D. So I wouldn't call it "crap".

If you read the ap3000d internals are really not up to par. And the 3000watts was stretching it. So the 500watts more may be more like 1000watts more. Im thinking the 3500d is made a little bit better. I have to look again but I have seen it on ebay for cheaper.

If this thing does well on a 12 volt setup might look into getting one. "Might."

Yes, because it is fan cooled, better looking, can run at .5 all day long, can accept higher voltages,strappable, puts out 700-800 more watts at .5 ,and is a true mono amp instead of two amps brided internally Thus the price increase!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I secound that comment as well. Were did you read on here that the new stuff is crap. All I read is about raves on the ap3000d like its the new boner of the forum.

Actually. Is it not two amps bridged internally. Read on the forum here. And you missed the other thread about it not having really great internals. But for the bang for the buck. Its right up there and If you us it right Im sure it will last forever.

I bought a couple 3000d's this past week. Might be a few weeks before they get installed. I bought them based on all the hype on this board along with a couple others. Some individual tests show the amp doing more than rated power. I don't expect build quality to compare with amps that cost twice as much either. As long as it does what I read and does it for a couple years I am more than happy. Got mine shipped for $313 to the door!!! Where else can you do that?

Yeah I knew that. I thought you didnt know the ap3000d was two in one.

But if anyone else reading this. Im think that the 3500D is a better made amp. More like its a higher line of the ap. I could be way wrong just my opinion though. Looking at the amp an all. Would like to see some internals of it as well.

none of the ap amps are crap,far from it. i have been installing all the new ap line sence it came out about 3yrs ago have had 0 failures...
