Box for2 Pioneer TS-W303R 12" subs?

I am going off of the manufacturers specs but the tuning seems high.@ 2cu.ft. w/port 3"x3.5" it tunes at 55hz.Is this too high for rap music and wow factor tuning?

Exactly......but I dont know how to tune it lower.Does the port get longer or do you increase the diameter or both?The subs are currently on a pre fab box tuned at around 60 hz from what I can see on the packaging.It hits really well but,I feel like we are missing a lot.So when we build his box next week I want to make sure its done right.

I posted plots in winisd in your other thread. Their recomeneded tuning makes it really peaky. Go with Ram's suggestion.

One last question,I just saw that you said use a common chamber for both....why?maybe its a dumb question but I have never built a ported enclosure.

Just PM Ram and have him do up a full design for you. They are easy to follow if you understand the idea of how to read plans and general knowledge of tools and everything. He will also help with questions you have as you build.
