that is the wrong size on both ends. improper sizing results in arcing which is what starts fires.
an adapter should be closely sized for both wires, at least a 1/0 coupling. 1/0 and 2 awg are close enough

of course, it depends on the wire used. i've seen some 1/0 that would fit in a 2 awg spot.

I was just pointing out that there is a way to reduce a wires size without the whole distro block setup, I don't know what size they come in that was saved in my watch list to fit my stuff i was just giving him ideas not hunting down the best deal for him, he can put some work into this too.

 
no need to reduce ground, just run the proper size from the amp to chassis.

for power, you would ideally run the wire the amp requires. otherwise, get a dist block that accepts 1/0 in and out since you won't find a 1/0 to 2awg adapter.

well im running 4GA wiring right now, but i will be buying 1/0GA wire
