Does cold weather affect sound?

The music may appear to be louder in the cold dry air because there is less air density compared to hot humid weather.

Id make sure to let the car cabin were the sub and amp are warm up a little before hittin it hard. Subs have been known to damage in extreme cold. The amp will warm up as it plays just watch out for persipitation.

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.
