can you give an estimate or example of how much louder it will be? im already thanking god its gonna sound better than it sounds now.

Oh i know lol i take boss's rms rating and divide it by 3 if i want to know real power. I think for the price of the amp he's looking at he could get much better.

i have a boss audio CHAOS EPIC 2000 Watts 2-Channel MOSFET Power Amplifier powering my 15 inch L7. is it powering the l7 at 2000 watts or not? ive never heard a kicker l7 before mine but my cousin says boss ***** and its probably only putting out 600 watts. it hits hard but it doesnt sound like very good quality. to give you an estimate of how loud it is, i can barely hear it in my house with all the doors shut. I plan on getting a fosgate 1000 watt prime. basically what im asking is my boss audio putting out 2000 watts and when i get my fosgate, will it sound better and be louder. thanks

take a look at the classifieds section for an amp. and subs......pretty much anything in there is better than what your looking at for the prices your paying

I only really started getting into audio a few months ago and its amazing how much you learn in that time lol. first system was stuff that was laying around the garage 4 cube sealed box with sony xplod and jensen 12's in it and a boss 4 channel 2400 watt. Im on my 3rd system in 3 months slowly uprgrading every time.

If you can get a tuned box made ,it will be much better for the performance of that sub, as well as getting some REAL power on it.Id run it,till you decide/have funds for another set of subs later on.Id ask @mylow10, about the new American Bass Hybrid Mini mono amps..They get down for the money, and a space saver too..Worth every penny.I have 2-4480.1d,and they Slamm.Great amps for the money

ya my first system was some bloukapunkt 12's on a kicker kx600.1 in the back of my extended cab nissan pickup in high school....picked em up at a garage sale foe $20 for the subs in boxes and $75 for the amp and $60 for the fosgate 4 gauge amp kit...installed it myself. was nice for a little lol

ya my first system was some bloukapunkt 12's on a kicker kx600.1 in the back of my extended cab nissan pickup in high school....picked em up at a garage sale foe $20 for the subs in boxes and $75 for the amp and $60 for the fosgate 4 gauge amp kit...installed it myself. was nice for a little lol

This is in a 94 dakota ext. cab lol. Im up to 2 pioneer champion series 12's in a 4.3 cube ported box tuned to 36 that i made and a Soundstream 1.2000. Sub upgrade is next since these ones get pretty smelly after a lot of listening and the amp is less than halfway up. Funny how i have $300 into mine and its louder than everybody else at school when some have $600 into theirs because they buy expensive junk.

I trade for almost all my shizz......i traded an AQ hdc3 15 d2 for a RE XXX 12" D2 straight up, then my AQ 1200 for a hifonics zrx.2000.1 straight up......its all about how you sell it.....

its the coils on the subs starting to burn lol the subs are only 450 rms each and im running them a little bit over that it only does it on the songs that are long constant bass where the subs never get a break they're fine for other songs.

thats called voltage drop...leading to bad signal from amp cuz of low voltage, getting hot trying to produce the power it was when it was cool, then the subs getting warm due to increased stress on them from bad signal....

electrical upgrades be saviors!!!

I dont get drop too bad only at idle i normally only have it turned up going down the road and it never drops below 13 at the battery while driving.
