A lot of people don't understand that everytime you double your speed, air resistance increases four-fold and rolling resistance increases as well because of downforce ... They also don't understand that your vehicle transmits less force in higher gears ... In order to accelerate, Force must be greater than Resistance ...

I see 500BHP tiburons here time to time, using NOS or turbo for their "sprint" cars. I still don't think they can reach 180MPH.

You're assuming a production vehicle has downforce. Most actually will lift at speed, if I'm not mistaken.
