So I have a alpine MRX-V70 5 channel I have focal fronts and rears with tweeters and a single 10 sub. My dash is a pioneer 4000 nex. Now I am trying to figure out what setting is causing the hissing sound. Should I have the low pass and high pass filter on the deck and the amp? If not which one? Second how do I tell how loud I can go on the gain. I'm still learning btw so any help would be great.

Thank you

is the hissing sound only noticeable during music pauses? does it literally sound like SHHHHHHHHH?

does it change pitch or sound as the engine rev's change?

minimize your gains, that will let you use more head unit volume. does that help? how did you determine amplifier gain settings?

Anything worth getting is always worth it more at a steep discount. Not familiar with that unit, but the brand is great.
