I went to get my head unit installed today. I own a 2000 monte carlo ss. Anyway, they tell me that since I do not have a "monsoon" car stereo that I will need an extra part that will cost around $50. I'm assuming its an adapter of some sorts. From what I understand after 2000 GM started to put these "monsoon" stereos into their vehicles.

Does anyone know what this part is called, and if I can grab it someplace cheaper like walmart?

Thanks in advance
