Oh i under stand what your saying buh not all japanse cars are reliable,mazda and mitsubishi imo arent up to par with honda and toyotas reliable.I agree that proper care and maintenance are keys to vehicle longevity ... But that still doesn't prove that American vehicles, in general, are more reliable than Japanese vehicles ...

I wish they'd go by average cost per year (maintainence, repair, fuel) rather than problems per year but that would take a lot more effort ...
