Hey i have 2 15" P1's powered by a 1000W kenwood and it sounds no bueno. What kind of system would sound better in this car/ a small hatchback. I was thinking maybe 2 12"s? I don't understand why these subs don't sound better? distorted and just not deep. I want loud and clean. money isn't an issue but i am also not buying two JL 15W7's ha so thanks for any suggestions

I just want it to sound really good. High s and lows and high volume. Whatever that means I need to do. I have a cheap ez 500 hu but should work if I have the right system. Are rockford p1s shitty? Or are they just too big for my car? They hit the high s but sound bad when songs hit deep thanks

they don't make 15" w7's... 13's yes but 15's no

state a budget or you'll be past 10k with people on here..

If its a small hatchback, you're probably better off with twelves. You didn't give us much info on the box, but it probably doesn't work right with the car(too large or poorly designed).

I don't know how the P1's sound but I know I can make anything sound good with the right box.

Another option might be just try a single P1 in an ideal enclosure. You already own them, so you might as well try that before spending more on equipment.

If you wanted to post pictures, I could be more helpful.

p1's are ok...i had 2 12"s ina ported box and they hit decent for the lower end subs...but i say, they were ina big ported box...i dk about sealed or smaller ported boxes...but regardless, if u want vocals, ur gonna need upgraded highs and mids

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
