Obsidian 12, worth getting over a SA12?

I had pretty much made up my mind on a SA12 then remembered Obsidian. The 12 is 160shipped which is a price i love but i guess im wondering if ill be disappointed i went with them vs sundown. Can anyone tell me what the main differences would be between the 2?

Will be giving either 1000wrms from a memphis, in a single cab truck wedge type box

just got done installing an obsidian 12 in my friends 99 ranger xlt, on a MB 1500 (set to 900watts with a tones and DMM) , in 1.75cuft 32hz, and it is pretty **** violent under 45hz, worth every cent if you ask me... i have no experience with sundown, so i cant compare them. but the OA is a great sub

Sundown will be best if you prefer stuff around ~40hz and above. The obsidians are straight up nasty when it comes to lows. Personally, I would go with the OA because there are less of those and they look awesome imo

well i actually do want my strongest bass 35-55hz or so, but thoughs recones have zero warranty. Im not saying he dosnt do good work i just usually have bad luck lol

But the sundowns not really going to be that much louder with the highs will it? I mean this is a dailyer driver no numbers, so if i would be able to tell the diff by ear ill go sundown, my main concern is having strong 35-55hz or so. But if its just a small diff ide rather go OA

build the right box for either and it will do what you want it to. Only difference is the road to get to the same end product.
