So I am planning on buying this sub and run it at 800 rms. I want to put it in a ported box because I think itd prefer it instead of a sealed. Does anybody know the spec for the optimal ported box?
box size for 2 hds215's on about 2.5k-3k before rise and voltage drop? lolyep.
After impedance, and box rise, your sub will probably see at the most 500 rms, if that 800 rms is true anyways.
Throw it in a 2.5cf and let it wang
what are you using to power it?
Im using the hifonics brx1100.1d and it puts out 800 rms at 2 ohmsyep.

What does box rise mean?box size for 2 hds215's on about 2.5k-3k before rise and voltage drop? lol
just get a D2 sub and wire it to 1 ohm. Why the hell are you getting a D4 if your just getting one sub? If you dont think the sub can handle it, your severely mistaken.Im using the hifonics brx1100.1d and it puts out 800 rms at 2 ohms

I went to soundquebed website and they only had the d4 available so I was thinking to wire it down and have a 2 ohm loadjust get a D2 sub and wire it to 1 ohm. Why the hell are you getting a D4 if your just getting one sub? If you dont think the sub can handle it, your severely mistaken.
might as well get two if you can fit it.I went to soundquebed website and they only had the d4 available so I was thinking to wire it down and have a 2 ohm load
Its rated at 600 rms and idk if itd be able to handle that, instead of getting two should I should get the hds3? That one handles 1200 rms, I dnt think I have space for 2 hds2'smight as well get two if you can fit it.
Could that sub really handle almost twice its rms?I'd wait for the d2 if I were u
yes if you send it a clean signal and adjust your levels correctly. If you have no patience then get the hds300 D2.Could that sub really handle almost twice its rms?
box rise is a long story lolIm using the hifonics brx1100.1d and it puts out 800 rms at 2 ohms
