Sub noise

When I have my sub turned up, when the base hits hard, i get a cracking noise from the sub. Any idea's?

Maybe tyrn up your SSF if you have one.

Could be your amp clipping do you have your bass boost on?

where is your gain at and whats your HU preout voltage.
