you could, however that's still not exact. You're losing a lot of the airspace inside the motor and underneath the cone.You could just use plastic as a barrier between the motor and the water. It would make the measurement less exact, however. Maybe your way is better, Ultimate. =p
BTW no one do what i suggested. water + sub + electricity = no.
