This sub i saw in a car audio store.

The model shown in the picture i think is a older model. The 1 in the shop the guy said is a newer model and it had a different cone and magnet and basically everything. It may not of weighed 80lbs now that i think of it but it deff weighed more than 38lbs.

lol since when did 38 lbs feel like 80-100lbs:D
Hah yea.... it's not so much the weight, it's just the sheer size and clumsiness of the **** thing. A refrigerator for example isn't that heavy, but it's seems heavier than it seems because it's difficult to gain leverage. Doesn't matter to me cause I use 12" xxx's as jogging weights.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
