14 is a good voltage nah? if it doesn't dip below like 13 I don't see what the worry is. Not really a specialist in electrical but did you upgrade your alt grounds as well as power wires?

Yeah I don't see the issue. Normal circumstances with engine off is 12.x because the vehicle isn't turned over. Once vehicle is turned over, then you get the typical/normal 14.4 which is where it should be.

Exactly... I am steady at 13.0-13.2 and will not rise while driving. and no I do not have the big 3 upgrade and I believe I have a 175 amp alt

There's your answer. Do the big 3 upgrade. And I'm willing to bet your electrical will be better.

That is what I planned on doing this weekend, I think maybe I need a new alternator because when I first hop in after its been sitting a good while it is at 14.2 but immediately drops upon starting the vehicle down to 12.5 and rises back to 13-13.2 but stays there....

I am just nervous it is a very new vehicle... what if the PCM is communicating with my alternator and telling it to charge it that way because the second battery was added to the equation?

175 amps should be good to around 2kw. i forgot the equation.

also you want that voltage to be AT THE AMPS, not just at the battery.

upgrading grounds should have been your first step. now you're thinking too much with all this PCM chit.

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
