I have so many decks ...now I could began to count all the brands ...
I have had a few over the years, but it has been a couple of decades since I had a system. Just sliding into it right now. Actual install will not be until next spring. By then I hope I will have learned enough to set the system up properly.

If your wanting SQ PM me I can hook you up with a nice high end SQ deck that wont break the bank ...

It is getting to the point that this question is going to be irrelevant in a few years. With the way car makers are integrating everything with the sound system, aftermarket head units are going to be a thing of the past pretty soon. And, that is very disappointing! Currently, in my 1991 Honda Accord, I am using an old school Eclipse CD8051. This is one very cool head unit. I, also, own a 55040, CD8454, and a CD8053. But, I really like the CD8051, so I will just keep an eye out for other NOS CD8051, CD8052, CD8061, or CD8062 units (these are all pretty much the same unit).

I'm glad it was free! What a pain in the @ss! Can't run sound from CD/DVD or the RCA inlet through the amp with out the 5.1 surround sound decoder no biggie only $100 but without the programmer $150 you can't change any settings on the decoder! From what I understand these items are optional when purchasing a new HU. Why would anyone buy a half of a HU? I maybe wrong could be a way around the decoder but I have yet to find anyone who knows.
