i already have the horns just need the drivers whats the better set i know both are cheap but this is for just a little project gonna run them on a sony xplod amp

so wat exactly do i need to prevent the freqs going to the drivers that it cant play

thanks

Those are both absolute crap. Get a real set of tweeters or horns from PartsExpress.

You can't just swap x-overs around like baseball cards into any set of speakers. For a new set of drivers like your doing I suggest seperate HP and LP filters for each driver rather than a unified 2 way x-over. Pick a x-over freq well within the frequency range of both drivers. Probably around 2 KHz. The filters must be chosen to match the impedence of the drivers, and then you may need to add a pad to the horn to match the levels better.

dude , I know you are on a budget, who isnt?

but those first two tweets will sound .....ok at best. Maybe not even that.

Id find a used set of tweets

well wat xover do i need for those seleniums and i am putting them on my flats boat under the polling platform so i can hear music while running full throttle

well the amp i am gonna use is a cheap xplod amp only has a lp and a off setting so if i turn it to off then i cant adjust the freq to the seleniums so i need something to prevent low freq's

well i can just turn the gain down they dont need much to get loud i heard

You use a passive High Pass filter on the horns to block the bass. You use a passive Low Pass filter on the woofer to block the highs. You need a pad on the horn to reduce the power of the horn compared to the woofer or it will sound like a tin can with no bass.

i thought these horns are for only highs vocal range basically i dont want any bass from it period just vocals, i will have mids for midbass and a 12" sub
