why dont more people use fi ssd

Most people don't have or need that much power. I don't have more than 1kW on tap, you think I give a rat's *** about Fi BTLs or BLs, DC level 4s and 5s, DD anything, Sundown Nightshades or any of the other high power subs out there. They're all overpriced for a 1kW+ sub as far as I'm concerned.

Overpriced for a 800 watt sub imo
Yeah, they are conservatively rated at 800 watts. I had a 12 SSD on 1500 watts daily.

And I'd choose efficiency over power handling. I did ~144dB in a daily box with 2 10 SSDs out of a trunk on 1200 watts clamped power.

Depending on options this sub is very good IMO. I had a 2010 15" SSD loaded in a 4.5 cuft box tuned to around 32 after displacement running off a kicker zx1000.1 and that thing sounded great. I also have heard with the copper coil option these can make a great SQ woofer too. Good entery level sub

true story of the year

most people are blown away when I tell them my amp will push 1400rms.

Most of my friends and most "regular" people usually run 500-600rms and are more than happy

We (this forum) are a VERY small percentage that thinks 1000 rms is entry level and that a single 10" is nothing

Thats what seperates the normal people and the people that really want to get loud.

I'm not a regular people. I've done enough dicking around with small and low power equipment, and now it's time for me to take my knowledge to truly get loud.

If you got true SPL knowledge, you know its more on install and design than power or cone area.
