i just received the nano dso. im kind of scared to put this to my stetsoms 11k2d speaker outputs at full tilt. has anyone put this oscope to a big amp yet?
It will be fine, just make sure you have the positive probe in the positive of the amp.i just received the nano dso. im kind of scared to put this to my stetsoms 11k2d speaker outputs at full tilt. has anyone put this oscope to a big amp yet?
thing im worried about is at the highest voltage input for the reading on the nano is 58v. other dso read up to 700v.It will be fine, just make sure you have the positive probe in the positive of the amp.
I doubt you are going to have more then 58v... Try it on you mids/highs amp first so you are comfortable using it....thing im worried about is at the highest voltage input for the reading on the nano is 58v. other dso read up to 700v.
Realistically how many volts is your amp going to output? If it is below 58.000000000001, you should be fine.
58V at 1 ohm is only about 3300w so it would be fairly easy to have an amplifier that produces an output voltage over 58V. If the scope says the maximum voltage it will read is 58V I wouldn't try it on anything bigger...I doubt you are going to have more then 58v... I am aware, I missed the part about the Stetsom 11k.58V at 1 ohm is only about 3300w so it would be fairly easy to have an amplifier that produces an output voltage over 58V. If the scope says the maximum voltage it will read is 58V I wouldn't try it on anything bigger...
It should do just fine.I only have a 360 watt amp 4 ohm. this scope should handle my needs ok shouldn't it?
