    muddy bass

My volt meter isn't really going any were. It is staying at 14.4 volts. So I know that isn't the problem. I talked to a guy today that said the subs may be bottoming out because of the box being the wrong size. They might not have enough space at the low notes. Is this possible? And a guy...

    muddy bass

First off I would like to thank you for taking a minute to read my serious inquirey. Please do not blow me off. You know how frustrating it can be to try to get help with a problem. I have built what I feel to be a competition system consisting of 6-MTX 8000 series 12" subs, 3-8100D 1500 watt...

Any one knowledgable about cut throughs please post

My subs are in a V wedge style box, facing each other for the most part, also aiming towards the cab with about 1.5 cubic feet of air space per sub. The box is pretty big, it takes up all but 2 feet of my bed, the amp rack takes up the rest. The box is closed off from the rest of the bed, but...

Rear fill to Front speaker ratio.....(long)

You sure do ask alot of questions. Ok, the subs are always going to take more power to push then your highs or mids for the simple reason.....they are bigger. Look at the size of the magnets. Maybe a few ounces for your fronts, and it is not uncommon to see a few hundred ounces for the subs...

I have a 99' Dodge Dokota R/T regular cab with 6 MTX 8000 series 12's and 3 8100D 1500w amps in the bed. I have a 8" x 40" cut through in the cab but since they are 12" subs, they are pounding on the sheet metal of the cab and about half the sound is getting through to the dash. I can't really...

I have a 99' Dodge Dokota R/T regular cab with 6 MTX 8000 series 12's and 3 8100D 1500w amps in the bed that I use for competition and it bumps pretty damn hard. MTX Thunder 6000

I run 6 8000 series 12"s for competition and I was impressed. Never settle for a step below..never. You will be happier with the 8000's. They sound cleaner and will not distort at higher levels of volume. **** crutch field........over priced bastards. Look on-line I found my subs for less...

What are the best subs the hradest hitting

I RUN 6 MTX 8000 SERIES 12" SUBS AND 3 MTX 8100D 1500 WATT AMPS FOR COMPETITION AND THEY SOUND VERY GOOD. THEY DO NOT DISTORT IN THE LEAST BIT AT EXTREME HIGH SPL AND HAVE A REALLY NICE CRISP CLEAN SOUND AND DO NOT SOUND MUDDY LIKE ALOT OF SUBS OUT THERE. I CAN ONLY SAY THIS FROM PERSONAL...

What amp wi give me enough clean and hard bass?

I use 3 MTX 8100D's for competition and they sound great. They come with birth certificates that rate them at no less than 1275 watts each, but you can turn the gain down for a nice clean sound. And you can get them for aroung $410 from www.carstereotime.com I have had no problems with them and...

Right amp for 2 MTX subs

I recommend the MTX 8100D. It is 1500 watts but only costs $410 from www.carstereotime.com plus you can add lots of **** to your system later on because it is so powerful. But why did you choose the 4000 series? They are horrible sounding at louder volumes.

    ohms

Dude thats a real easy one. All you do is take 8 and divibe it by 3. That puts you at about a 2.6 ohm load. And as for mixing subs- not a good idea but if it sounds good, who cares?
