Wattage has nothing to do with why its shutting down. It is more than likely a wiring issue, could be a speaker grounding out, incorrect ohm load, bad ground to deck. it even could be a loose fuse in the fuse box but what it is not is incorrect wattage. pull the radio out and check your connections

cobalts have plastic behind the h/u that needs to be removed to get a DD to fit(sd also maybe) cut the plastic out and remove the screws that hold on the metal bar and then it should fit no prob.

why not, instead of trying to run the speaker wire through the door jams,run the amp wire up to the factory harness that way if you need to take the amp out all you got to do is rewire the deck to the speakers, oh and yes, do run 10ga to the V-drive HU, unless you havve a vehicle with a thick...

i dont know about the shop you bought it from but we have BOTH the cable to hook up the sirius and the bluetooth in stock they showed up today, so you shouldn't have to wait till May like you were saying. just updating you on this, also the aux vid input on the front cables are available now too

you could try some q-logic kick panel replacements they have them for the older mustangs im sure they have them for your 2003

get a new h/u j/k you can get a little more power out of a line driver if you can find one that will work with your amp. thats the problem with cheap h/u garbage in garbage out you cant expect a jensen to sound as good as a sony, kenwood, pioneer, alpine, exc. even though the line driver will...

get a test light or multimeter and test both sides of every fuse (including the ones under the hood, except maxi). that should tell you if ones blown. also check if the sockets plugged in, ive seen it before where it wasn't

what year 300, some of the can-bus harnesses have the vss wires for in dash nav units like the peripheral chyah05 which if your car is 05 and up should already have

what are you running the amps, is it a 4-channel or sub, whats the ohm load your running at, whats the wire size and the current draw? answer these question and i can give you an answer on what your problem is

well most of the time we use the pac sni-35 loc but on the new gm's and some of the other brands where switched power is about non-existant we use the periferal svenr

you should have 2 fuses for your h/u constant and switched im guessing you blew one and checked the other

see the white w/red stripe and white w/black stripe wires on the top harness, those are can-bus wires, you need that harness for your car not to throw error codes at you, i.e. check engine, airbag light, dont use any other harness for your car unless you plan on spending $ on fixing it the right...
