    Cold Weather VS. Amplifiers

it shouldnt be bad. isnt there less resistance with the cold anyways? plus the alternator may run more efficiently. i cant imagine it being terrible for the amplifier but maybe for the sub if you crank it too soon

a lot of people screw into the metal or use bolts and nuts to hold it together. on a sidenote, where can I find non-hardening modeling clay?

    Go Active or Get Deadener

The only problem I've had with my speakers so far is it kinda seems like there's a buzzing coming from the speaker when pushed too hard. I believe it's somewhere around 2500-3000 Hz. I'm not sure if it's the mid or tweeter and I plan on doing that with my off day this week. I've heard the...

    Go Active or Get Deadener

I'm pretty happy with the way my system sounds as it stands minus some panel rattle. Currently I have my components running off an amplifier. Would my money be better spent on some sound deadener or on a head unit such as the 880PRS? I would have to get another amplifier for my tweeters, and I...

Electrical Problems Galore in a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi

My guess is the same as Horsemanwill. It's probably a bad alternator. Were you getting dimming headlights before you put the bigger battery in?

    4x6/front door speaker ideas.

I have a cavalier and had the same problem. I made brackets to fit where the stock bracket was out of 3/4" mdf. made plenty of space to fit a speaker 2.5" deep

troubleshooting - loud thud when changing source, radio station etc

i had this. ground the rcas to the head unit. in other words, pull the radio out, grab some 18 gauge wire and wrap it around all the rca terminals on the back of the radio, and use one of the screws on the back of the radio to hold it down. pioneers are notorious for that

Looking for help on a setup that fits ME! Help is appreciated!

Personally, I would ditch the rears and get a good set of component speakers up front. If you get a 4 channel, i would bridge them into 2 channels so you can power your speakers better. If I had known that before I bought my speakers, I would have saved a ton of money. Also, if there are any...
