2 dual 12in sub boxes

Will this work? I have 2 sealed boxes. Both have the same JL 12in subs in them. If they fit, can i just stuff both boxes on the trunk together? I'm eventually going to get a custom box for all 4. But in the meantime will this work?

Kidding, yes, if the box is the correct size for the driver, that is fine. What JL Subwoofer are you using and what is the air volume spec for the box (or - outside dimensions and thickness of wood used)?

So I've got 4 older jl 12w1v3-4. 2 are in a JL sealed box from JL (loaded box) not sure of all the specs on that, but its 12"x20"x15". The other 2 are in a custom sealed box 3/4 mdf made to spec its 33"x19"x15"

Assuming the box is made of .75" MDF the 12"x20"x15" box is 1.5 Cu Feet. The 33"x19"x15" is 4.3 cubic feet, something is not right here. JL has the following recommendations for that sub (per soofer so double for two)

Ideal Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet)	1.152
Minimum Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet)	N/A
Maximum Sealed Box Volume (cubic feet)	N/A
Ideal Ported Box Volume (cubic feet)	1.652

From those specifications, I would use 2 of these in a stuffed, 2.3 cubic foot box. Neither of the box/drivers combos looks correct as I see it. If your measurements and sub model are correct, the 4.3 cubic foot box could have all 4 in them (not ideal but better) which given what you have to work with, would be the best option.
