8's in doors 6's on the floors

What are the two main crossover points you'll be using to separate the speakers? Seems like with 8's in the doors you could have saved space/legroom going with a smaller mid in the 3-4" range, which would also allow you to cross higher and have pretty much the entire vocal range coming from one speaker instead of two.

IMO, a smaller midrange would be easier to deal with tuning, as you don't really need the midbass potential if you have 8's in the doors anyway.

the reason i'm goin to run 8's with 6.5 comps...is because i already have the 6.5's...i realize 4" mids would be more ideal but i running with what i got...

the crossover pionts that im thinking is ,

sub 60hz

8's 60hz-300hz

6.5's passive with tweets 300hz up

went grey all we had at work and i figured the rest of my interior is grey sooo... yeah..be taking the speakers outta the door tommorrow night and given the pods a listen., i hope they sound good

pods are now done... just slpaed them im there thats why the wires are showing, will be re-wiring another time...

they sound awesome when high pass is set to 160 or 200. an lower and it's way to much mid bass, it end up make the speakers sound muddy...

guess thats why i planned for 8's lol....just goin to be a bi+ch figuring out how to do them.
