Alpine CDM-7854 compatablilty question

Hello

I just bought a used 2000 dodge neon. The neon came with a 4 disc changer. I know that the changer works, because I have used it with the factory head unit.

Anyways, my question is does anybody know if the dodge 4 disc changer is compatable with the Alpine CDM-7854?? I have plugged in the huge round cable from the changer into the back of the alpine, and I can not even get the changer to turn on. Pressing the source button on the alpine toggles between the radio and the alpine's cd.

Can anybody offer any advice??

Your best bet would be to call Alpine and explain your situation to them, they'll be able to give you a better answer than anyone here.

Probably gonna need an FM modulator...
