Best Amp For MTX 9500 Sub

I'm thinking about going with a mmats 2000.1 or 2000.2,its just a single 12 and i'm seriously underpowering it right now with an orion 1200d,also thinking about an mtx amp,but i think i might like the mmats better

The mtx 1501d would be plenty for it, but the mmats would work as well.

either amp will work fine

if u get an MTX id say go with a MTX 81001

if u compete in USACi ull be int he 301-900 class

if u get the mmats ull be int he 0-300 class

I really dont think the Orion is underpowering it, unless you are competing, in the right box 1300+ should be plenty

i really like the orion 1200d,but its just underpowering it considering the sub is running parallel into 2 ohms,and the amp is only rated at 725 watts at 2 ohms,plus i'm most likely only putting 12 volts to it instead of the recommended 14 volts,great amp though for the price,i especially like the way my single 12 type r sounded with that amp,but that was only for about 2 weeks until the sub blew,i either overpowered it or i think it blew because i ran it with so much distortion for so long with a cheap peice of crap bazooka amp,btw,anyone know where i can get a decent price on either mtx or mmats amp?i'd like the mmats better probably,but now i'm leaning towards an mtx if i can find a decent price on one

I have a mtx 9500 15 inch subwoofer connected to a mtx 81000d amplifier wired to 1.7 oms and it pounds... if you want real power you to upgrade your electrical power.
