Can I run a marine battery under the hood?

As far as I know Marines are deep cycle which is pretty similar if not the same as some of the popular mobile audio batteries.
If my cars stock power and ground are on the big posts, can I use the secondary screw posts it has for my ring terminals?

Sure can..Iuse dual post AGM batteries..I have been looking at an Excide marine battery for my neighbors truck that Academy sells here for like $99.99,bt only comes with a 1 yr warranty:crap:
