I have a pair of Boston Acoustics pro6.5 seperates running off a JL Audio 300x4, right now the frequency cut-off is at 120htz, if i want more midbass could i lower it to 100htz without distortion? Also would it be better to do this if there were more power to the speakers? If so, would using a 300x2 JL amp be a good inversment for running these front speakers? Thanx

I am not sure about Boston, buut they are pretty solid. I have my MB Quart 7 inch components set at 75 hz, and they still play flawlessly. I would think Boston's can play down to 50 hz with the clean powerful full watts the JL 300/4 amp can supply them with, I use that exact amp for my Quarts!
