Highs to Bass ratio

depends on efficiency placement xover points etc.. think in a ht setup.. you have normally a minimum of 5 speakers and one sub.. basic setups are 100x5 and the sub is 100-350watts

so usually a 3:5 ratio but i have 1000 on my fronts and 2500 on sub and it does well as I have high efficiency fronts with nice points

Well I have 4800 for subs and 1000 for highs spread over 10 speakers, and still adding highs. It shouldnt be about how huch power tho. More so on how it sounds and what makes you happy. I like to hear the vocals when the bass is rattling my teeth

Depeneds also on the car, in an suv you don't need as much bass because its in the cabin with you compared to my town car which has a vertically mounted gas tank between the trunk and the rear seat I need that extra wattage in the trunk to sound like a weaker system would in an suv... I'd say run anywheres from 1/4-1/2 of your bass power to speakers.. 1/3 is really ideal for a normal setup but in a sq setup 1/2 would be more ideal...

lows and highs are easy to come by....midbass is the pinnacle of car audio....
