I need a amp that will power three MTX 6000 12's...i think ive narrowed it down to these two, so which one would work? Any other amp suggestions? Im also tryin to find a box for these subs any ideas on what kind? thanks

A CONCEPT CCD1200 will put out 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm, perfect for your needs, i use one to power a pair of thunder8000's at 2ohms and i tested it to see if its putting out its claimed power, the results were a peak of 59volts ac current at the outputs, that translates into a peak wattage of over 1600watts into a 2 ohm load and the amp never even got warm during testing.

Three 4ohm 6000's will give a 1.33ohm load meaning that this amp will start putting out over 2000watts peak easily into that load.

Rms power is usually halve that of peak, so 850 and 1150watts can be expected at 2 and 1.33ohms.

As for a box, I would suggest a triple 1.25cft enclosure(sealed) made with one inch mdf.

Oh come on! Why'd you have to go and tell me the price? Now I'ma start eyeballing them.

Please excuse this extra question .. Is there a specified patch lead or compatible bypass harness for the factory amp or would I have to create it...
