Why do some mono channel amps like most kicker amps only have one set of input for speaker wires, were alot of others have 2 sets of inputs?
Exactly I figured it was more for coinveince as well, say if i guy wants to run multiple subs?Oh, on the outputs. It is just for ease of wiring. Both + and both - are the same internally.
I see what your saying.. was really lost last time (the only time) we had to hook up my HDC3 which i ordered D2 but ended up with a D1.. we had wires going into all four outputs on my saz 1500.. now what would we have done if there would have been only 1 set of outputs?when a mono amp has 2 sets of +/- terminals that just means that they are paralleled internally. i.e. you hookup a dual 4 sub to it, where each coil is wired up to a set of terminals. thats 4 ohm per terminal, then paralleled internally for a 2 ohm load.
