no the bolt is silver. its the bolt that the car came with to hold the stock amp down to the trunk metal. the ground terminal is not on the car chasis, it is on the metal latch of the factory amp.is the bolt green?
give the direct to battery idea a shot and see what happens....more diagnosis afterno the bolt is silver. its the bolt that the car came with to hold the stock amp down to the trunk metal. the ground terminal is not on the car chasis, it is on the metal latch of the factory amp.
so it is car metal --> metal latch of stock amp --> ground terminal --> silver bolt
so i did thsi and the amp turns on (it turned on the old way also), but still nothing out of my subwoofer.that means the bolt is not a good ground.....run a set of jumper cables from the batt negative to the end of the ground wire and see if the amp turns on....my bet is that it will
if this works, then you need to find a much better ground
can you get a pic of the loc?so i did thsi and the amp turns on (it turned on the old way also), but still nothing out of my subwoofer.
