Needed: Advice on either 2 -8" or 1 - 12" sub to match a Eb nine.2x

Amplifier Specifications

200W x 2 @ 4 Ohm

300W x 2 @ 2 Ohm

600W x 1 @ 4 Ohm

Detailed Amplifier Specifications

Signal to Noise Ratio >95dBA

Variable Input Sensitivity 150mV - 7.0V

Remote Variable Input Sensitivity No

Variable Low Pass X-Over 40-240Hz @ 12dB/Octave

Variable High Pass X-Over 40-240Hz @ 12dB/octave

Current & Thermal Protection Yes

Remote Gain Control No

Variable Phase Control No

Master / Slave Option No

Efficiency 67%

Variable SubSonic Filter N/A

Fuse(s) 3 x 30A

Max Current Draw 85 Amps

Damping Factor 300

Budget $200.

Enclosure will be custom made to match sub(s) purchased.

This will be placed in a Yukon. Third row seats can not be removed for more space since my son takes several other friends and family to school with him. So this limits depth of enclosure to about 10 inches.

What will match that amp and give the loudest volume for the budget?

Get a DVC 2ohm to get to 1 ohm on single 12, lost of 600watts sub, Skar VVX, Sundown SA, Obsidian, even PSI platform 1.

Dual 2 is good, but he will want to wire it to 4 ohm. I was going to suggest the same subs. I have also heard good things about the american bass xfl, but haven't heard one in person. Also, if you are looking for loudest possible, look for a 15. There should be plenty of room in that truck.

Space is an issue though. 10" depth max. Width size of the inside of truck obviously, and height to the back glass... so rouch guess 24" x 36" x 10". again, just a guess since i'm at work and he has his truck. But do these dimensions change your advice or can you put a 15 in an enclosure that size?

You have enough space for a 15, but depth might be an issue. Get the proper dimensions later. If there is not enough volume for a 15, you would get more out of a properly sized box with a 12.

if box size is an issue for ported, you can use aero ports instead of slot ports, i am running 2 vvx 15 and they are loud on slot port, i am thinking of putting them on sealed

VVX 15 mounting depth 7.55

ported

Recommended Volume : 2.5-3.0 Ft^3

Tuning : 28-36Hz (better to tune lower)

sealed

Recommended Volume : 1.5-1.75 Ft^3

Lol was just looking that up naughyca. I think I'll get the vvx 15 and port it. From my rough guess he has plenty of space for that volume. As long as he has the 10 inch space behind the seat. I'm guessing the sub will need a few inches clearance at front and rear? fire towards rear of truck or forward in to seat back?

Open screw holes sound like a little muffler, loose box panels sound like a massager on a wooden table.
