i will be tinting the windows in the saturn next summer, and over the winter i hope to get some rims\tires for christmas.

im planning on 5% on the back windows (sedan). and whatever is legal on the driver\passanger and rear glass. i will then be painting the drip guards that go around the top of the door sils gloss black to match the rest of the door trim, and the rims are going to be similar to these

here is the question

what is the best kind of tint in can use? i dont want it to get dull quickly, i dont want it to be a huge pain in the ass. durability and longevity are the main concerns here.

anybody do tint often? and if so - whats the kind you would put on your car? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I use llumar as well. The higher quality tents are eaiser to install and will not crap out on you like the cheap stuff.

good to hear, thanks for the tips guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

llumar by far! I do suggest 5% all the way around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif with a sunshield on the front windshield. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

how hard is it to tint windows yourself? say if you have some half decent DYI skills...
x2, I'm always afraid if I try to do it myself I'll end up looking like these dips with their windows dotted with airbubbles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The thing I have noticed about doing it yourself is its kinda hard to get big enough peices to do the back window. I like llumar and 3m. My car and truck now both have 3m and my car before had llumar. There is this shop around here that sells pre cut pieces for cars so then you save on the labor. I just pay someone then when its bubbled I can take it back. I only had to do that one time but even that is to many

llumar is what the shop used on my grand prix... 5% would look sweet, but I had it, and I thought it was almost too dark, especially backing up during the night, but as long as you have functional side mirrors, that shouldn't be a problem... and I my eye's don't adjust to darkness very well..
