After thinking about a double din ive decided i need a good single that has most of the stuff like my 880prs did. I wanted something with TA and all the HP and LP filters. Just mainly all the good SQ stuff....doesnt matter if its the older eclipse or kenwood or whatever.

LOL having T/A, HP, and LP are not SQ qualities....many HUs have them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

To be fair you don't see T/A until you get into a lot of the higher end HU's which coincidentally are also great when it comes to SQ.

I recommend the Eclipse CD5100, I have and use the old CD3000, but am going to possibly change to this HU in a couple weeks.Looks to be pretty good spec wise.I have nothing bad to say about my CD3000:D

I've got an Eclipse CD8445 that I'm not using. Looking for $200. I do not have the trim ring, remote, or manual but does come with the cage, cage locking brackets, wire harness and original box.

Sorry to be off-topic but hope you find a HU right for you! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sorry but I beg to differ, some lower/mid level HU like the Clarion DXZ or Alpine CDA series have T/A but dont sound nearly as good as others Clarion DRZ, Eclipse ECD, Denon, McIntosh, Nakamichi etc

So the CDA-7990 and the CDA-7998 CDA-7949 and 7909 are low to mid grade Hu's? CDE and CDM are the low to mid grade alpine stuff. 7990 is still top of the SQ headunit foodchain.

LOL note that I said "some" HU with those listed features, but I definitely think that the Eclipse CD8454/8443/8053 sound much better than the Alpine CDA-9835/7998. I have not had the CDA-7990/7909/7949 so I can only comment on what I know, also those units dont have xovers/time alignment/EQ like the OP wanted right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Get a 8053 with the 16v converter that will be the great, that if you can find one. You should get one that bypass the da converters on the iPod/iPhone, that if you want plan to use one.
