Polk DB691 or Kicker 055KS693 for replacing stock speakers.

Rear speakers are the devil! Down with Rear fill! When is the last time you listened to a concert behind you? If you do that then rear fill is good, or if you watch movies while you drive on the freeway eating a sandwich and talking on your cellphone, then rear fill is good, the rest of the time...

Polk DB691 or Kicker 055KS693 for replacing stock speakers.

I have some older Polk DB6500 components in my wife's Element, and they are decent but the tweeter is so bright it will saw your ear off- I'd go with the Kickers personally. Rev's are good too.

System Progress -- 56k watch out!

There is no comparison from a twin cam b-series and the d series- a fully build d- series will be slightly more powerful than a stock b-series- that is why I advocate the swap, for the cash the swap makes more sense- $1000 to rebuild a d-series or for about the same you can get a motor that...

System Progress -- 56k watch out!

My point was that you are good to go now with what you have, but rather than build a d-series motor that will struggle to make power, a swap would be the better choice once you get around to needing a rebuild. Used motors can be found for less than a grand most places (wrecking yards, japanese...

System Progress -- 56k watch out!

I still think if you are looking at a rebuild I'd do a swap instead- you can make power with a single cam, but not as much as that extra cam is gonna give you. Why limit yourself? You obviously aren't doing that with the audio!

System Progress -- 56k watch out!

You won't ever see those #'s out of a single cam Honda- the cam profile is way too mild- it just can't breathe. That turbo setup would likely work in a b16 motor though- if you pop yours you would be better off with a swap than a rebuild. Put it in perspective: The k20A3 in my civic is about...

    What TV shalt I get?

There was a noticable difference on my Comcast HD box between DVI to HDMI and component video (I have both hooked up so I can flip back and forth) I just hate there is no locking mechanism for the HDMI cable- it doesn't seem real secure to me, but I guess it hasn't fallen out in the last 2 weeks...

    What TV shalt I get?

There are a few sets that will do a pixel for pixel 1080p input but they are rare and expensive, and I'm not sure if any are Dlp- I know very few 1080p sets even accept a 1080p input.

    What TV shalt I get?

I disagree with a lot of what you said. CRT's have the best blacks by far,and depending on the TV plasma and Dlp are close, but the Panasonic th42px60u has the lowest black levels Home theater magazine has ever tested out of a flat screen, and the only things better were a few crt's and full-on...

    What HDTV do you use?

I got ass raped for some DVI to HDMI cables last week. I got them at cost (6 footers) for $45 each- some fools get stiffed for retail ($130 each) Ouchie. Thank god my brother is a manager at a compusa!

    What TV shalt I get?

I can't say burn-in is impossible, but with modern plasmas is pretty unlikely, but if you don't want one that's fine- it's your room. 1080p right now is a joke anyway. Basically according to Hometheater magazine if you have a screen smaller than 50" or sit farther than 8 ft away your eye can't...

    What TV shalt I get?

I'd go with the Panasonic TH 42-px60U plasma- you can find them for $1400 with a $200 rebate all over the place- awesome tv- highly rated

    What HDTV do you use?

My point is the studio series competes withthe 600/700 series. The signature series goes to the upper 700 series and lower 800 series, and Paradigm doesn't really offer anything for B&W's rediculously high-end stuff. That's the only point I am trying to make- at a given price point they are...

    What HDTV do you use?

You just want to listen mostly for clarity, and what sounds the most natural to you- at least that's what I listen for in loudspeakers of any kind. I want the whole system to reproduce the music accurately, not add coloration or it's own sound of any kind. To me in a loudspeaker accuracy is the...
