I still think if you are looking at a rebuild I'd do a swap instead- you can make power with a single cam, but not as much as that extra cam is gonna give you. Why limit yourself? You obviously aren't doing that with the audio!

There are a few sets that will do a pixel for pixel 1080p input but they are rare and expensive, and I'm not sure if any are Dlp- I know very few 1080p sets even accept a 1080p input.
