Wasn't talking about Arc, but rather what the shop seemed to promote as their main area of expertise. I have heard very good things about their install capabilities.

My overall impression of the shop was not very favorable as well. Terrible showroom (if you want to call it that) and if you don't like Arc or Powerbass, don't bother showing up. Definitely seemed geared towards flashy show cars and SPL rather than anything sound quality oriented.

Uhhh, completely wrong on using the center source for the hights. That's a summed R+L signal. When you say 3 way active, do you mean tweet, mid, and sub. Or tweet, midrange, midbass, and sub. H701 can do both very well. You have to choose between graphic and parametric for the EQ.

Ahh, another fellow EE. Do tell me: what kind of load does a speaker provide to your amplifier? At the frequency of your test tone, do you know the exact impedance the Z6 is providing to the amplifier?

The Z6 do not "need" anywhere near the power people seem to think they do. A good 100 x 2 at 4 ohms will drive those speakers very, very well. And, yes, I have owned a set.

You do know that there is a guy who goes by werewolf on ECA from Austin, right?

BTW, don't bother calling Clarion...they won't talk to anyone that isn't a dealer.

I owned the set; used them with a Zapco DC350.2. They are very nice for a 2 way passive set. Tweeter is quite nice in fact. The mid can extend low, but just doesn't have THAT much output, and very little snap. Definitely not overwhelming by any stretch of the imagination. Midrange is good...
