    Any private installers near Seattle?

For starters I would like to talk to someone that understands the science and proper application of modern sound deadening materials. I just went through a very bad install by a local shop and cannot bear to have anyone else hack on a nice well kept vehicle.

    Any private installers near Seattle?

Looking for someone qualified and honest to work on vehicle at my location. Sort of turned off to the big chains and even smaller shops I have chatted with. Please pm if interested.

Anyone have a Bluetooth enabled HU and comments?

We had a Pioneer 700Bt for about a week and then switched to a X993. Our experience was the same as nineball commented above concerning the Kenwoods Parrot system. The Pioneer unfortunately did not meet our expectations.

    Curious about mid-bass application.

Thanks for the specifics HCCA...That is where I am at right now. Trying to educate myself on quality deadening products and there correct application/location. After doing some searching I am thinking I may want do an amp upgrade at the same time the BA Pro's go in. I really like the simplicity...

    Pioneer removeable face...

Ahh, I see now...I had the 700BT for a few days and it did not have a motorized faceplate. So they are different. Thanks

    Pioneer removeable face...

So is it accurate that both the 800PRS and the 700BT faces install/dismount the same?

    Curious about mid-bass application.

Paying someone to perform services is always a risk. What goes on behind your back and in this case behind the door panels is an enticing place to take the easy way out for those looking for one. Especially when I did not spec the job to every detail. The shop I chose knows better, I am...

    Pioneer removeable face...

When I reference design, I mean in how the face itself is fitted onto the left and right pins and snapped into place. Not the actual knob and switch layout on the face itself. TIA

    Curious about mid-bass application.

Yes, the Arc 300.4 is currently powering the four doors which are Polk mm6051/651's. The Polks are being replaced with BA Pro 60's in the front doors. I was thinking of not running any rear fill initially and just bridging the Arc for 2 channels. The current sub and the amp are also going away...

    Curious about mid-bass application.

Not having any specifics about the actual deadening job, I went and visited the install shop. For a total of $300 they installed Dynomat only on the inside panel of the four doors. They figured 4-5 sq.ft. per front door and likely 2-3 sq.ft. for the smaller rear doors. Seems safe to say I need...

    Curious about mid-bass application.

Only the doors themselves have been dynomatted (chrome looking). Although I do not believe the inside of the exterior door skin was done only the interior metal panel. I would be interested in hearing if the whole vehicle should be done for the full benefit. My current amp is an Arc 300.4 which...

    Pioneer removeable face...

Is the faceplate on the 800PRS the same exact design as the 700BT? My wife despised trying to install and remove the 700BT faceplate.

    air flow vs. textured paint?

Well sort-of...The dimpling in combustion chambers is typically to promote mixture tumble and dispersion...especially at high rpm's. Another huge influence on flow such as these ports would be entrance and exit shape. You can fool/manipulate things... There is tons of imperical data on this...

Air flow theory, w/badass paint drawing.

After many years of working in fields concerning flow dynamics I have learned one fundamental thing. Air almost never does what you think/expect it to. The situation you have illustrated IMHO would infact not prove out. Air will always take the path of least resistance. And many things would...
