10's or 8's...worried about low end.

why do you laugh? he is right, 10"s are pretty much the best mix of both worlds.
and its a fact, smaller woofers do not get down low, and bigger woofers sound worse than smaller woofers... the only downside is that if you want to get loud and sound good then you have to have alot of smaller woofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . unless you are fine just sounding medi-ocre, then you can use 12"s.

there is alot of mis-information in this thread. there is a direct corelation between cone size and output/SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif . i would make a graph to school all you people, but i dont have excels.
I would think that it would be up to the individual(s) as to what the "best mix of both worlds" would actually be wouldn't it? I've ran everything from 8" to 18" and I could find faults in every size. Also, I could go as far as to say that if "I" had my choice of size, it would not be the 10". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Hoss you are deadly accurate man you know your ****. Thanks for backing me up. The fact is if you want the best of both worlds you have to settle in between a 8 and a 15. Actually a 11 inch woofer would be the best you could do.

Notice that of all the people posting right now only one is bashing the 8's?? I went from a fifteen down to 4 RE8's and let me tell you, the RE's are killing it. It's all in the install mang.
I'll be doing a setup with 4 of them as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Is this guy really serious though??? Size has nothing to do with SQ, it depends entirely on the t/s of the woofer and what box you put it in...

I used to think that too, until i posted on here what i though, and my ass is still burnt from the flames. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I semi-agree with you, i run a Kicker comp 8 in HT, and anything above 35htz or so is loud, but anything below it will bottom out on, but then again ive never heard an 8 that was more high end.

Its in 1 cube at 28htz BTW.

So you ran every sub in every size in every possible box option? You found faults in every driver, not every size //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Besides, you haven't seen my new 8.783" x 11.432" woofer yet......
