Hello and good day to you all. I have a 1998 Mercury Sable LS with the MACH Audio System and I want to add a cd changer to it. I went to the Crutchfield website and I found it to be very confusing. I would like to know what kind of cd changer is available for my car and where can I buy it from. Also please note that I my car has the oval radio/cd/environmental plate and it is a factory install.

Thank You All,

Dana

i know crutch field has an adpter for that oval that will allow you to use a single din sized headunit, and just moves the ac controls a bit, other than that i cant offer much

maybe try a local car audio store. circut city even. If I understand you correctly, you are trying to keep the factory radio and add an aftermarket changer. It can be done there are several companies that make this plug, and it will tell you which changer you need to run with it. The alternative is rf modulated which links into your fm. Although sound quality is lost a little it works and the changer you buy usually will link up to the aftermarket head should you ever change your factory one out.
