Is orion hcca strictly a spl woofer???

Hello everyone,

wanted to change out my woofers with something pretty loud with decent SQ also. I know the Orion's put out some vicious SPL but do they have some sort of SQ? If you have any suggestions please advice... I have almost 7 cubic feet to work with so I think it would have to be a ported 10 or 12". Thanks

my current set up:

2 JBL MKII's in a 2.76 cubic box sealed

1 sundown 2500 amp which puts out alt least 2500 watts into 1 ohm

1 DLS RA40 for the mids and tweets

CDT Euro Gold mids

Hiquophon tweets gold series

3 wire upgrade

XS power battery

Upgrade on alternator

I love it! But did want a little more output. I have the 12" the are just a few weeks old but I'm looking for a little more Spl even thou my friends think they are the loudest things on earth lol... I think I might want to maybe compete in entry level events here and there ...

You already have great equipment, if you really want to compete, just build a fart box.

Thanks... how much difference would porting give? I know its hard to give exact but will it be a considerable increase in SPL? And would anyone have any direct experience with what type of port... slot, round, bandpass...
