I tried it both ways and am not happy either way. Im not saying its a bad little sub just not what im looking for. My dedicated midrange basically requires a sub stage now more so than the little 6.5" can provide. Im looking to do two 10s at 6-800 watts and call it a day.

To follow up on my JL w3 review, Im not satisfied with it. Barely more bass than the stock sub and I am looking to replace it.

I purchased a JL audio W3? 6.5" sub to replace the stocker in my marauder. Will be installing it over christmas. I will be sure to post back with the results. Which ever sub you do go with do let us know I'd be curious to get your impressions.

I can't vouch for either as I've never heard neither but Id recommend getting to your nearest dealer and listening to them to see which better suits your needs with that power level i'd personally just stick with the xover from the comp set

its basic stuff parallel cuts the ohm load in half and series increases it well depends on how you look at it^^ wire the coils on each sub in series (2 + 2) = 4 ohm per sub then wire each sub in parallel to the amp (4 - 4) = 2 ohms
