4th order folks, tell me if I am on track!

I built a 4th order for a friend for 2 cheap pioneer 10's, did 1.6 sealed, 2.3 ported tuned to 45hz. Sounded amazing, very clean and dropped right down to 25hz with authority. Just something to consider.

    HDC3 Box build help

Thats only about 4 cubic feet gross, way too small for those subs after you figure in sub and port displacement. I would put them in about 4.5 cubic feet net after all displacements, common chamber.

    How old is everybody?

20 here, always been interested in audio. Before I could drive I was into home stereos. I built some 3 way towers with 12" car subs for woofers that rocked my room on 100W per channel. I was only 12 so I guessed on box volume and port size. They ended up being 2.75 cubes @ 34hz, lucky lol. Once...

    Fi BL opinions.

I ran an 18" BL for a year. It destroyed the lows and slammed the highs too. Bass sounded tight, crisp, and loud. Great sub.

Help deciding box and subs for 99 gmc Sierra extended cab

If you want serious windshield flexing bass I'd take the back seat out and do 2 15's. I have mine in 8 cubes with external aeroports and there is surprisingly still quite a bit of room in the back.

If i were to offer you one of these subs, which would you take, details in post

I'd go with a 10" Fi Q instead. Great in a sealed box, good customer service, and re-cones.

    4th. order bandpass

Drop the tuning down to 45 or so, and give them some more port area. 70 inches for 3 12's in a 4th order isn't much... You could also make the ported side bigger if you have the space.

Sealed Box for 12" Diamond D6???

Actually, the dimensions you listed give 0.76 cubic feet before woofer displacement.

    box for 2 SDC2.5-12

Box looks good. I've got my SDC's on about 800 a piece, seems perfect for them.

    Expert Enclosure Builders Read This!

Do 4ft^3 net tuned to 30hz with 64 square inches of port. Should sound great and hammer the lows.

last ? about sealed / ported

10's ported... what subs are you looking at?

    GroundShaker Box looks good

It comes out to 4.2 cubes before taking into account port and woofer displacement. Just an educated guess, it looks to be about 3.5 cubes NET tuned to about 38hz without much port area.
