If you jogged the wires it could of pulled lose..

If there s no voltage then check the plug on the alt to make sure its getting good connection.

Take the pos wire off the back of the alt then check the voltage on the alt when started

What kind of vehicle??And Is the ground between the engine and batt good..usually a ground strap to the firewall..

They dont do a thorough job of cleaning. and if they tape off the lights and handles there's a chance of the paint pealing,,,and the reason to wash it is when you paint you stir up the dirt in the wheel wells and under the rockers....they usually sand the scratches and scuffs the rest of it..
