If the shop you took your car to makes you think that this could happen you probably went to the wrong shop.

    Fibreglass Spare Wheel Help

You need way more than 2 layers of mat to properly build that part of the enclosure. We usually do at least 4-5 layers. Aside from needing to be air tight the enclosure needs to be rigid enough to not vibrate. Yes, you should pop those bubbles and reglass over the entire area. 1/4"-3/8" or...

$300 for components and amp installation a rip off??

$90 per hour. 2 hours to install amp = $180 plus 2 hours @ $90 per hour to install components = $180 = $360 plus speaker plates, materials and sound deadener plus install = $430. Actually after materials and shop parts charge it would be $450 plus tax by us. No fiberglass, just very qualified...

    2005 Jetta false floor build

Here is a Jetta I recently finished. Customer had previously been to other shops and wasn't happy with what they were offering him. He ended up by us and got the following build. Keeping trunk space wasn't offered by other shops but when he mentioned having kids I knew a false floor would be...

$300 for components and amp installation a rip off??

$300 is a good price depending on how they install. We would charge $430, that includes running new wires to the doors, HDPE speaker plates, sound deadener (1 sheet per door), mounting tweeters and mids, wiring and mounting the amp and wiring ran clean and presentable.

    2011 malibu problem

Use a dmm to find a suitable switched power wire in the car. Pink or orange at the ignition harness. Lights coming on is because you need the data harness. The radio in those and many other new cars is way more than just a radio. Many other components run data through the radio and the...

Can I run a marine battery under the hood?

Like others have said....it's totally fine. They usually are deep cycle and have thread posts which make adding aftermarket amp wiring easier.

    Bi-Amping, didn't have a clue..

Bi-amping typically refers to using seperate channels on an amp run to the tweeter and mid inputs on a component or in some cases a coaxial speaker set seperately. Running your tweeters and mids directly off your amp without passive crossovers is an active system. All depends if you are using...

    Focal PS165FX ?

Yes, just make jumpers for the tweeter and woofer inputs. Many bi-ampable component sets come with jumpers in the package or inside of the crossovers.
